Assistant Financial Controller

* Three Year Contract – US$50k per annum
* Papua New Guinea based role

Our Client is based in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and is a large scale producer of palm oil and associated products. They were incorporated in 1972 and have a long history of success in the Palm Oil industry of PNG. They are investing heavily locally and are major contributors to the local economy of the region through providing increased job opportunities, boosting revenue, supporting social projects and promoting more local business participation.

With the planned growth in operations they are now seeking additional support and now require an experienced qualified accountant to take on the role of Assistant Financial Controller.

You will be responsible for providing financial advice and support to the Financial Controller to make sound business decisions and ensure that internal controls adequately supported. You will Manage financial transactions and perform comprehensive analysis relating to the business. You will assist in financial planning, cost analysis and budget monitoring.

In order to be considered for this role you are required to have the following:

* Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent;
* Three or more years experience in an Accounting role;
* Previous experience working in PNG or other overseas appointment preferred; and
* Work experience in an Accounting software package (not MYOB).

In return, you will be compensated with a competitive salary package of US$50,000 per annum. You will be employed on a three year contract, holidays of 37 days and one leave fare per annum to and from your point of hire. Accommodation will be provided.
