Our client, one of Australia's leading coal mining companies and a major supplier to the Western Australian economy, is seeking to employ a Maintenance Manager.
Reporting to the CEO, the Maintenance Manger role is to design, develop and implement Process Improvement Strategies that enable the optimization of a sustainable continuous improvement programme for the operations whilst ensuring the day-today maintenance activities are completed safely, on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partners with the senior management team to identify the strategies for continuous improvement methodologies, tools and processes aimed at catalysing operational excellence.
• Analyses the work flow process with a view to improving the systems, processes and practices which will optimize the use of available resources.
• Facilitates the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives ensuring opportunities ad projects are appropriately planned and implemented and benefits realized.
• Develops and implements specific plans, projects, programmes and policies that contribute to continuous improvement in safety, costs and asset availability.
• Implements procedures, standards, controls, processes, benchmarks, and disciplines in which the business operates resulting in sustainable process improvement
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Required: Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering – Electrical or Mechanical preferred
• Desirable: Training in Leadership Development, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
• 10 years experience in a senior role with 5 years specifically in process improvement roles and/or maintenance
• Industries: Capital intensive/unionised workforce - Resources, specifically Coal desirable; manufacturing, transport
• Site experience in mining, processing or manufacturing is desirable
• Demonstrate success in bringing about process improvement through the use of improvement initiatives and methodologies
• Demonstrate success in providing maintenance services that ensure operations continue to work efficiently, effectively and safely
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and procedures including knowledge of regulations, codes and standards applicable to electrical safety
