Project Manager

* Initial 4 to 6 month Contract (with possible extension)
* 5 weeks on 2 weeks off FIFO roster
* Senior Role

Our client has an immediate requirement for a Project Manager (Electrical) reporting to the Engineering Department Manager and responsible for Managing a new Project based at Kaltim Prima Coal in Kalimantan.

Additional responsibilities will include:

* Managing special projects
* Liaising with major clients and prospects
* Establishing and maintaining good relations with clients and customers
* Assisting with the training of staff in all aspects of technical, management and administration
* Preparing and submitting reports to Management and Directors
* Travel where and when necessary to carry out any duties related to the job

Key Competencies required:

* Electrical background with a sound understanding of IT operating systems and PLC programming
* Working understanding of filtration, pumping and fuel supply systems
* Understanding of hydraulic systems and fault finding
* Working knowledge of welding and fabrication is preferred
* Able to manage and understand a multi national work force
* Be able to speak or a willingness to learn Bahasa Indonesian

To be considered you should possess a strong background in electrics, PLC's and control systems along with a strong understanding of hydraulics and filtration systems and be fully conversant with Australian Standards. Excellent management and organisational skills are essential to be successful in this role.

When on site hours will be dictated by site working hours. An attractive salary paid in US$$'s monthly is on offer + commission / bonus (based on performance parameters) + company vehicle + accommodation + phone expenses + utilities.
