CROCODILE GOLDAUSTRALIA Crocodile Gold Australia Operations is commencing gold mining and processing operations in the Northern Territory at the Tom's Gully, Brocks Creek, Cosmo/Chinese and Union Reef projects. Based in Darwin office (Humpty Doo) the company is looking to expand it's reserves through a rigorous exploration programme. We are currently seeking applicants for a position that will support the company through the start-up phase into long term production Open Pit Mining Superintendent This position will be based at our Cosmo/Chinese project area approximately 150km south of Darwin and will report directly to the mining manager. This position will be responsible for: • Coordinating and managing the technical team of site based mine personnel including engineering, geology and survey.• Liaison and supervision of the open pit mining contractor and ore haulage contractor.• Monitoring and reporting business performance.• Identification of expansion opportunities.• Budgeting and cost control.• HS&E implementation and control.• Coordination of near-site resource definition drilling in conjunction with the geology department. To be considered for this position you will have a tertiary qualification in mining or geology and a proven ability to manage contract operations in a production environment. Drill and blast experience and/or grade control and selected mining of narrow vein deposits would be well regarded.
