OneSteel Piping Systems distributes the country’s most extensive range of pipes, valves and fittings to the resources, construction, manufacturing and energy markets. We partner with key customers in oil & gas, mining and engineering construction to offer customised solutions with our superior range of piping systems products.

As the Key Account Manager based from St Leonards you will use best practice selling techniques in providing superior value-added service solutions in the management of your customer base. You will establish call plans and tactics to provide the optimum marketing mix and use your drive and initiative to increase our industry profile by identifying and developing growth opportunities.

You will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently whilst converting value propositions into major sales for the business. Your history of successfully developing and building relationships, supported by excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills ensure that you are capable of delivering the goods both at the coal face and in the boardrooms.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Establishing & maintaining relationships with key customers (both internally and externally) and major accounts Building goodwill and brand equity in the marketplace Providing regular market intelligence feedback Identifying opportunities to promote/market a range of products, solutions and services Managing and developing effective business relationships with distribution networks Key criteria for success includes:
A relevant tertiary qualification in either marketing or engineering or similar Demonstrated sales and marketing experience on a B2B basis in an industrial, commodity or engineering environment Experience working in a stand alone sales role, high level of business acumen and attention to detail Exceptional contract negotiation and administration skills Demonstrated ability to form sound relationships Highly developed communications skills. Qualifications in engineering, marketing or business, previous sales and marketing experience and strong negotiating skills, as well as SAP experience, would be highly desirable.
