As part of the recently developed risk management strategy, John Holland is seeking to employ an experienced Plant Safety Manager to lead the improvement and compliance activities in relation to the management of Plant across our Northern Region operations.

Reporting to the Regional Safety Manager, you will be responsible for engaging operational site leadership teams on a broad range of plant management strategies, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and Regulatory requirements. John Holland’s commitment to safety is second to none and as such, you can expect the full support of senior management.

To be considered for this position, you will need to satisfy the following criteria:

Tertiary qualifications within a relevant Engineering or Safety based discipline. Diesel Mechanical Trade based qualifications with high level product support experience will also be considered; Comprehensive construction, mining and equipment management experience in a similar role with a strong focus on statutory compliance and systems development; Thorough understanding of WHS Legislation, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice and how they relate to the practical application of plant; Demonstrated competency in all aspects of plant management including technical specification, procurement, commissioning, training, operations, maintenance, compliance improvement and disposal.Due to the nature of our business and locations of our projects, it is expected that some travel will be required as necessary.
