Coeur Alaska is recruiting Mill Supervisors located at the Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Essential Functions:
> Responsible for supervising mill operators and oversee operational objectives for a new underground gold mine preparing for a 2010 start-up.
> Assist with development of standard operating procedures, systems, and guidelines for a flotation milling operation.
> Participates with senior mill management and the safety department, development of mill technical progression program to ensure on the job training objectives are met.
> Responsible for efficient and safe operations of mill employees.
> Completes daily reports and is accountable for ensuring that operator’s time cards and pre-shift records are completed.
> Promote the concept of quality and active employee involvement to ensure Coeur Values are met (Safety, Environment, Integrity, Dedication, Respect, Teamwork, Communication and Growth).
> Responsible for carrying out departmental goals, and supporting Coeur Alaska Inc. environmental and safety policies.
Experience: 5-10 years supervisory experience in a process plant as a supervisor or senior operator preferred. Previous experience with flotation and gravity concentration preferred. The successful candidates must demonstrate leadership and problem solving skills; effective verbal and written communications skills are required for this position. The ability to effectively supervise employees and maintain positive relationships with all levels of Company employees are essential.
