Excellent projects in Civil & Marine
Working for one of Australias leading multi disciplined contractors, who has a proven track record in the delivery of civil infrastructure, tunneling and water and marine projects. This Sydney head office based position initially and then out to project, we are currently seeking talented project manager who have been involved with projects over $100 m coupled with PPP, Alliance and JV experience being a extinct advantage. As a company Project Manager will be responsible for:

Liaison with the tendering team in head office, to help with bids and contract awards.
Providing technical, commercial and functional direction related to all aspects of contracting, and material management, including the administration of project tenders, subcontracts, purchase orders, expediting, traffic and logistics, warehousing, supplier quality surveillance and supplier performance assessment.
The delivery of safe and environmentally sound projects on time and within budget. The effective management, either directly or through direct reports of engineering, scheduling, costs, industrial relations, safety, environmental and quality.
The maintenance of effective relations with the client and an appropriate profile and image of the company.
Strong leadership and communication abilities translated into the achievement by staff of individual and team performance objectives and measurement targets.
Competent in understanding and promoting HS&E imperatives and IMS procedures.
Competent in negotiation and client relationship building accompanied with a sound understanding of contract management and cost containment. Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues, looks for approach change and deploys sound problem solving methodology.
Candidates with a relevant tertiary engineering qualification will be considered. With a minimum of eight years engineering experience required in the construction industry with a demonstrated success in delivering to $ targets, timeframes, planning and logistics management on project over $100m will be highly regarded.
