South Walker Creek

South Walker Creek mine is transitioning to an Owner Operator operations which will be completed by June 2010. As Mining Manager you will report to the Implementation Project Manager for 12 months and coordinate the DRE operations and maintenance component as well as the dewatering & pumping and workshop of the implementation. On completion of the transition it is envisaged that you will then report to the Mine Manager SWC where you will provide leadership to the Mining & DRE operations enabling SWC to at least achieve the mine's business plan and effectively manage the DRE & maintenance workshop by leading and inspiring your team as well as effectively supervising day to day activities of the principal contractor in regards to stripping, mining and haulage.

You will be a degree qualified Mining Engineer and a Business qualification would be favourable with at least 10 years practical experience in mine and DRE management with a significant portion of this time spent at open-cut operations.An understanding of Project management and controls is essential.
