CHPP Isolation Supervisor

Saraji is a large open cut coal operation which utilises a fleet of draglines and truck/shovel fleets to expose, haul and produce 7.0M tonnes of export hard coking coal per annum. Saraji have an opportunity in our Coal Handling & Preparation Plant for a suitably qualified Isolation Supervisor to develop & oversee implementation of a standardised isolation system and be pivotal in achieving isolation compliance for the Saraji CHPP.

Demonstrated ability to plan work, allocate resources and monitor progress, along with well developed communication skills across a diverse group of people is essential for this position.

Primary Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Identifying and mapping isolation points

Establish & procure standard isolation devices

Supervise installation of standardised isolation equipment

Updating isolation point registers

Establishing isolation checklists for specific tasks

Development of standard group isolation and non standard isolation templates

Establish dedicated isolation areas

Monitoring ongoing compliance and systems requirements

The successful applicant will possess the following:

5 years post trade experience in processing plants

Appropriate trade qualification (Electrician)

Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP)

Computer literacy

This is a staff position and remuneration and conditions will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Preference will be given to BMA Employees, BHP Billiton Employees and Contractors engaged by BHP Billiton / BMA current and displaced.
