Purpose:

The Business Controller effectively manages the finance function for the applicable TMU with particular responsibility for business control, management forecasting and reporting and risk management.

Core Accountabilities:

*
Manage and develop the applicable finance team and its staff;
*
Supervise, maintain control of management and statutory accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely completion of required activities for reporting, forecasting and budgeting;
*
Provide financial and business insights into key drivers of financial results and trends to enable better business decisions.
*
Ensure appropriate internal control systems and procedures to safeguard marketing assets and liabilities under CSG control and to ensure compliance with group policies;
*
Monitor relevant direct and indirect cost results to ensure correct divisional cost allocations and provide advice to TMU Managers on variance analysis;
*
Manage, implement and monitor all risk management activities to ensure adherence to the Group Risk policy;
*
Manage, control and minimise working capital requirements for the TMU;
*
Manage preparation of Forecast/budget reports to meet deadline for corporate submissions;
*
Manage preparation of financial reporting to CSG and Marketing Corporate to meet Group monthly deadline;
*
Ensure appropriate financial checks and reconciliations are performed;
*
Ensure adherence of all finance activities to external and internal rules, regulations, policies and legislation;
*
Assist with projects as required.

Qualification & Experience:

*
Bachelors’ and/or Masters’ degree in Accounting/ Commerce/ Business and membership of a recognised accounting body;
*
5-10 years experience in accounting/finance, of which at least the last 2 years in a managerial role
