A member of the BHP Billiton Group, Nickel West is a fully integrated nickel business comprising mines, concentrators, a smelter and refinery, all located in Western Australia.
Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
Located 40km south of the Perth, the Kwinana Nickel Refinery produces premium nickel briquettes and powder that are highly sought after in world stainless steel materials markets. Think Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll be an integral member of the site Lead Team. With the focus being on leading rather than managing, it will provide you with the opportunity to work cooperatively with your peer group and team in achieving safe and stable operational performance.
This supportive environment will allow you the autonomy and scope to be able to evaluate current systems against maintenance best practice and help position KNR on their journey to being a world class operation.

Think Requirements
With a strong maintenance management background, you’ll have had demonstrable success in managing maintenance in a large plant in the resources sector or other heavy industry. You’ll know what a good maintenance management system looks like and you’ll have the capacity to assess systems and implement change as appropriate.
Your communication style must enable the development of productive relationships at all levels and you must have a passion for developing your team as well as yourself.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline will be well-regarded as will experience in major contractor management.
