Our well-regarded client is a leading company in the natural resources sector and is involved in the EPCM and programme management of a major mining project. They are currently in search of a Design Manager to oversee the delivery of all marine engineering and design services to the port area projects.

Based in Perth, and reporting to the Programme Engineering Manager, you will be working within a team and will be responsible for providing technical supervision and methods to meet the project objectives with reference to existing procedures, standards and quality control.

As such your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Assuring a safe, efficient and economic marine design project delivery.
• Ensure quality of marine group deliverable.
• Timely delivery of all marine group deliverables to the schedules set by each project
• Staff management in conjunction with principle and lead engineers.
• Management of procurement information of equipment across projects.
• Ensure that the marine group understands their programme requirements within the scope of the project.

To be considered fort this role, the successful candidate MUST have:

8 years ++ experience in EPCM projects.
Tertiary Engineering qualification.
Background with engineering and design of marine facilities
Experience in Management of multi-disciplined engineering teams.
Exceptional skills in Planning.
