CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

We are looking for a Pipeline Construction Manager for a major new pipeline project on the East Coast of Australia.

[Overview]
Our client operates as a worldwide managing contractor, providing a range of multidisciplinary solutions for the oil, gas, water and electricity sectors. Recently they have been awarded a Pipeline Construction Contract for the construction of a 940 kilometer gas pipeline project.

[Requirements and duties]Ideally 10 years experience in Greenfield pipeline construction projects within the Oil and Gas domain We are looking for people with extensive experience working in a large project environment. Initially office based in Brisbane where duties will include construction planning, cost estimatates, review of detailed design and scheduling the review of project specifications and procedures.

Work on site is expected to start on site in March 2010 and the successful applicant will then orchestrate and supervise the construction management of all field activities. Field experience in construction & commissioning also; Route Studies, Material Selection, Life Cycle Cost Analysis Lead a team to ensure that all project target milestones and deliverables are met Ensure compliance with all Australian regulations, codes and guidelines regarding requirements, including a strong focus and respect on Health and Safety issues. Office and site based experience A strong pipeline construction project portfolio Strong planning, administrative qualities. Site supervisor skills A significant career opportunity to work on a newly awarded project. 10 years work at senior level within Pipeline Industry based both in the office and on site.
