Brisbane City Council is responsible for ensuring Brisbane’s one million plus residents have a modern, integrated transport system that meets the community needs and sustains Brisbane as a livable city.

The strategic challenges of providing an efficient, economically and environmentally viable transport system are being tackled with enthusiasm and innovation by Council, with ferry infrastructure an area of focus. Our current fleet consists of fourteen Citycats and nine ferries supported by 24 terminals.

The role of Fleet Infrastructure Program Manager is to lead the project management of Council’s commitment to upgrade selected existing terminals and expand the ferry infrastructure to include two to three new terminals by 2012.

Managing several major projects concurrently within this significant program requires the skills of a program manager experienced in leading programs and projects through feasibility, design and construction phases. The role demands extensive liaison with Council’s procurement team, community engagement responsibilities and an intricate understanding of the impact of project delivery on commuters.

Solid financial and contract management skills and a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships will be well utilised in this position. A background in marine engineering or marine infrastructure construction will be highly regarded.
