My client is a leading supplier of automation products and solutions, both hardware and software into the mining & minerals, water & wastewater, food and beverage and materials handling markets. They are commited to innovation, quality, efficiency and service.

They have a wealth of experience and their solutions are created by working directly with specific industries. The client have been appointed as a partner of choice to the big guns in Industrial automation and have fantastic technical support structure.

POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to significant growth within the organisation, they seek an experienced Business Devopment Manager (BDM) to drive the sales of the follwoing products

PLC's

Fieldbus

Soft Starters

Communications (Ethernet, passive devices)

HMI/Scada

In this role your primary focus will be on developing potential new business opportunities, targeting end users and OEM's within the Plant Business, Process Control and Automation markets. You will also be reponsible for conducting product presenations, training & designing customer workshops.

They have a loyal client base and a strong sales team who have forged longstanding relationship with users, engineering, maintenance and purchasing personnel within the mining, minerals, water, power and related industries. It is your responsibility to continue the ongoing development of these relationships and pitch in the total offering.

CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be an experienced Sales professional with at least 3 years in the Automation Industry, working at either BDM or Sales Engineer level. You will highly developed communication presentation & negotiation skills, with the proven ability to operate independently, with minimal supervision. A strong technical understanding of automation is required, ideally supported by formal Electrical/ Engineering qualifications.
