The company-wide 1SAP Project has been established to deliver these outcomes. It is a company-led initiative aimed at transforming BHP Billiton and the way we work. 1SAP will establish a common set of effective global processes, data and metrics supported by a single, integrated system providing the information and means to manage the business effectively in a decentralised environment. This will deliver performance transparency which will facilitate the transfer of best practice across BHP Billiton. BMA’s vision is that the 1SAP Program will transform the business through embedding common, efficient and effective core processes, data, metrics and operating discipline delivered through the single integrated 1SAP system. We are currently seeking an experience Project Controls professional. The Project Controls Lead will be responsible for ensuring key aspects of the 1SAP Programme are managed effectively and includes the application of relevant standards when establishing and managing changes to programme financials, schedules and key documents. Reporting to the BMA Programme Manager 1SAP, you will manage numerous direct reports including the Project Scheduler, Cost Engineer and Document Controller. Specific responsibilities will include:
* Complying with governance arrangements for the programme;
* Contributing to the development of necessary processes, tools and templates;
* Ensuring team members appropriately apply the methodology; and
* Apply lessons learned as communicated by Manager 1SAP Centre of Excellence.
Additionally, the successful candidate will manage the establishment, progress, performance and change control of the following:
* Programme financials including budgets, actuals and forecasts
* Programme schedule from key milestones down to activity level
* Programme document control procedures
* Programme reporting procedures
* Programme risk and issue management procedures
With extensive project controls experience in a similar capacity, the successful applicant will have demonstrated working knowledge of ERP systems, along with proven experience in effectively communicating with various project stakeholders and managing diverse project teams. Degree qualified in Engineering, Finance or Commerce, tertiary qualifications in Project Management is highly desirable. You will have further experience in contract management with a sound understanding of contract law.
