Our client is a mid-tier gold miner with operations in West Africa. They seek an experienced and trade qualified Maintenance Supervisor to co-ordinate short term planning, trouble shooting and the day-to-day supervision and control of a mine maintenance workforce. Additional duties will include parts ordering for future and current tasks and the training of employees in fault finding including the reading of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. You will ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to instil and nurture a safe working environment within the maintenance department.
To be considered, you must possess:
Mechanical trade qualifications
Training in auto electrics and air conditioning repairs
A minimum of 10 years post trade experience
A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
Extensive experience in open pit / open cut mining operations
Extensive experience in the maintenance of Caterpillar 777D trucks, wheel loaders, D9R dozers and Liebherr 994 excavators
Atlas Copco drill rig experience would be a distinct advantage
Current Drivers Licence
Proficiency in office computer software - Word, Excel, email etc
This position will be offered on either a residential or fly-in / fly-out status.
