We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mining Engineer/Alt Quarry Manager to join one of our WA based clients. The company has continued to develop their existing operations while also completing a comprehensive resource development programme. They have an aggressive plan to bring further mines into production in the near future and seek dynamic & career driven individuals to assist them in achieving these ambitions.

The Senior Mining Engineer/Alternate Quarry Manager will assume key leadership responsibilities on site and will act in the Quarry Manager position during periods of absence. As a result, it is essential that you bring an Restricted QM Ticket, in addition to the following:

Proven experience with the supervision and management of open-pit mining activities
Tertiary Qualifications in a related discipline (Mining Engineering)
Exceptional leadership and staff development experience
Exposure to D& B activities and mine planning
Previous experience within small, surface operations
The position provides the opportunity to assume the Quarry Manager position in an 'acting' capacity and therefore presents as an ideal opportunity for those looking to make the transition into a site management position. Your role you will also involve:

Monitoring contractor performance and manage as required
Prepare all weekly & monthly reports, including budgets, progress claims etc.
Assist in the supervision all site-based functions
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations
The position is offered on a FIFO roster and will attract a highly competitive salary package. The position is being offered on a full-time basis and relocation assistance can be provided (if required).
