Opportunity for Engineers with construction experience to join this major supplier of railway equipment. Oversee projects and manage subcontractors

This is an opportunity for professional and suitably qualified Construction Managers to join this well known international company involved in the design, manufacture and installation of railway signalling equipment and systems. The company has a strong focus on career advancement and meeting the needs of their customers. You will be responsible for the co-ordination and liaison with installation contractors for engineering work carried out on behalf of the organisation and for key customers. You will be the key point for implementation and development of projects. Part of the role involves review of design documentation and tenders, negotiation of contractual issues, overseeing of OH&S and QA, commissioning of projects, co-ordination of procurement and delivery to site for subcontractor installation. To be successful, you need tertiary qualifications in engineering and business, and a background working in a civil and mechanical environment on electrical and mechanical systems. You also need excellent contracts management experience, knowledge of construction management, and a background in managing and developing people. The role will require you to work closely with multi-functional contractors ensuring problems are overcome by forward planning and procedure review.
