We seek a tenacious and committed self-starter, with superior analytical and accounting skills, to assume responsibility for providing accurate management information to satisfy mine site and corporate requirements and assist in maintaining maximum profitability.
POSITION SYNOPSIS
Reporting to the Finance Superintendent the successful applicant will provide accurate and timely reporting of financial information to site including analysis to identify key business drivers and impacts. In addition, your core accountabilities will be:
* Preparing budgets and forecasts using input from management and operating departments;
* Cost variance reporting and cost driver analysis;
* Maintaining the Costing module in SAP;
* Ensuring correct and effective cost control is maintained across the site and providing general costing advice to management;
* Project Work as required associated with business growth plans and system implementations;
* Coach and develop personnel and foster a positive and productive working relationship between team members and with other departments;
* Complying with BHPB & Mt Arthur Coal's safety and environment systems and mining legislation.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will have substantial accounting experience, ideally CA or CPA qualified, with previous financial analysis experience. Proficiency with Excel is essential; your exposure to SAP and/or Ramesys will be well regarded. Some exposure to mine accounting is preferred.
Credible, confident and results-oriented, your effective interpersonal skills will be applied to developing productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of management. You will display a dynamic and flexible approach towards your work, with the proven ability to implement change.
