Prestrip Supervisor

Saraji is an open cut operation which uses draglines and truck and shovel fleets to expose, haul and produce over 8 mtpa of hard coking coal. Our employees live in Dysart - a modern town of 3,500, 240km from Mackay and the Whitsunday Coast.

We are seeking an experienced Prestrip Supervisor to join our Mining Department. This position will be responsible for successfully managing a shift of operating personal in order to optimise pit output, quality and costs whilst always keeping safety at the forefront of operations.

The main duties of this position will include:

* Ensuring safe and efficient prestrip operations.
* Maximising the utilisation of earth moving equipment, which includes; 2 large Electric Rope Shovels and 1 large Hydraulic Excavator.
* Supervising a crew of high performing employees.
* Regular formal and informal performance management of crew.

The successful candidate will have:

* Experience in mining operations; specifically surface mining methods and heavy plant operation.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* A strong focus on and accountability for safety
* The ability to build and maintain an effective team environment.
* Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Ideally, experience in an environment that utilised Electric Rope Shovels.

An excellent remuneration package will be offered based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.
