GEMCO is seeking an outstanding individual for the position of Fixed Plant Supervisor to be responsible for the safe and efficient Fixed Plant maintenance service including the direct supervision of Fixed Plant Maintenance personnel & contractors. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Superintendent, this pivotal role must give full consideration to relevant safety standards, production requirements and department objectives.
Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
* Provide supervision to the fixed plant maintenance team.
* Provide a safe, cost efficient fixed plant maintenance service to internal company customers.
* Provide a service to GEMCO so that concentrator downtime is minimised.
* Support the preventative maintenance programs within Fixed Plant.
* Coordinate shut down maintenance tasks.
* Monitor costs to ensure budgetary requirements are met.
* To communicate effectively with all workshop personnel.
* Manage supply and service agreements to ensure process downtime and productivity are maximized and costs are minimised.
* Identify & monitor component failure & support preventative maintenance programs.
* Assist Tradespeople with diagnostic and preventative maintenance tasks.
* Facilitate & achieve business improvement objectives.
* Maintain fixed plant infrastructure.
* Other activities as directed by the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong mechanical background (tertiary or trade).
* Good working knowledge of minerals processing plants.
* Maintenance/Fixed plant experience.
* Background in Maintenance scheduling and planning using GSAP.
* Demonstrate an understanding of statutory legislation and regulations.
* Strong communications skills.
* Good practical and troubleshooting skills with an ability to work independently
* Experience with software packages including GSAP, Microsoft Office, Outlook (or equivalent)

An attractive salary package will be offered to attract the right candidate. Based on candidate current circumstances, option based on FIFO (7x7) or residential may be considered.
