The Information Management (IM) department is responsible for the delivery of information management services to the organisation through outsourcing provider arrangements.
We are currently seeking experienced applicants for the role of Senior Advisor - IM Systems which will provide business support, service identification and process improvement services to the organisation. This role will be based in the Central QLD office located in the Bowen Basin approximately 200km west of Mackay and the Whitsunday coast.
The role establishes positive relationships with key business and system users to gain a comprehensive picture of stakeholders’ plans, issues, and expectations. The role provides feedback to the relevant IM functional groups as to ensure effective planning can take place. The role also seeks to identify and recommend business and system improvement opportunities which are aligned with IM Governance and Service Delivery frameworks. Specific responsibilities include:
• Monitor and review services to identify and prioritise opportunities for improving the performance of IM service offerings, processes and procedures
• Apply service delivery principles and standards to guide recommendations on service support and service level agreements to ensure IM service offerings meet the current and anticipated needs of customers
• Monitor and advise on externally contracted service delivery and system support interfaces to ensure compliance with agreed contractual obligations
• Champion safety through providing leadership to all stakeholders including IM contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with BMAs safety policies, standards and procedures
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and participate in User Group forums on matters concerning information systems and promoting IM systems across the organisation
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar capacity with demonstrated working knowledge of information management and mining systems. The candidate will also require experience in business analysis and process improvement with a high commitment to customer service.
You will require a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent industry experience in Information Technologies with an exposure to standard service management frameworks.
