Mining Manager

Our client is a leading contractor who has been delivering integrated mining and construction services across Indonesia for more than two decades. An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Mining Engineer to join their ranks as Mine Manager. In this pivotal role, you will:

* Participate in setting strategic direction of the mining operation, participate in securing new work and manage delivery of that work so that profit and turnover targets of Mining Business Plan are met
* Create an empowered and challenging team culture that delivers outstanding performance in HSE&Q and achieves overall business success
* Co-ordinate staff to work safely, productively, efficiently and effectively as an integrated team
* Provide leadership to employees through proactive management
* Establish regular formal and informal contact with the client so that client needs can be understood and managed to ensure satisfaction with delivered product
* Ensure planning for projects to tender is in accordance with the Business Plan
* Communicate openly and honesty and actively contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times
* Oversee the development of staff by ensuring employment and training opportunities reflect company and staff needs.

You will possess:

* A Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering
* At least 10 years experience in an open cut mining environment with at least 2 years at management level
* Excellent leadership capabilities and communication skills with high ethical standards
* A professional background in coal is highly desirable as is previous experience in the Indonesian mining industry.

Offered on a 5/2 week FIFO, a generous remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
