A top mining company in Johannesburg is urgently seeking a Contracts Director Designate to join their team.
• The person should be able to manage and direct a multiple projects in a contracting opencast mining environment
• Relevant tertiary qualification in mining or civil engineering coupled with post graduate qualifications (MBA, EDP etc)
• A Managers Ticket will be beneficial.
• At least fifteen years experience in opencast mining of which ten in a managerial position
• In depth understanding of the mining industry and specifically opencast mining
• Experience in/understanding of the management of drilling and blasting in an opencast environment
• High level of mobility
• Preferably in possession of an opencast blasting ticket
• Superior client liaison skills
• Superior man management skills and IR abilities
• High level of emotional intelligence
• Ability to manage under a high pressure environment
• High level of assertiveness
