Job description:

This opening is with Alcoa Howmet, a division of Alcoa Power and Propulsion – a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets and a leading supplier of forgings for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, and other industrial markets.

This position provides Alcoa Howmet, Whitehall Casting with a quality focus in all of their employees through a commitment to comply with all requirements (internal and external).

  • BS in engineering or a technical field
  • 7+ years of related experience as well as aerospace experience.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e. AS9100. Basic working knowledge of turbine engines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to use and train on the following quality tools; ishikwa, flow charts, FMEA, contro plans, APQP System audits, SPC, !3 thinking, SQA, COQ.
