Project Engineer

Our client a, provider of professional services to the resource, energy and complex processes industries, is looking for a Project Engineer for their core team based in London. Our client is a leading global company with over 34 locations in the world providing services to the Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Infrastructure and Power sectors.

To become a part of this dynamic company you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in the Minerals & Metals Industries and preference will be given to applicants with an Engineering Degree.

To be successful in this position you will be required to:-

* Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner
* Act as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure that the client’s expectations are satisfied
* Ensure the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements
* Maintains HSE focus within the team to ensure OHSE requirements included in design and procurement
* Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise
* Identifies, documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements
* Compliance with the requirements of the contract
* Effective change control process application
* Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule
* Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives. Listens to the team, discuss the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and to achieve objectives
* Regularly provides clear reports to project management
* Effective communication with the design team and third parties.

In return, an excellent salary package will be negotiated with you based on experience. A 12 month+ contract is on offer for the right candidate.
