Our Client operates one of the largest manganese mines in the world, with customers in China, Japan, South Korea, USA, India and Mexico.
They are seeking an experienced Superintendent to contribute to capital projects from concept to completion. Your background will be in effectively supervising large capital projects.
Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, you will be primarily responsible for supervision of projects from concept to completion within time and cost constraints, supervision of engineering project systems and engineering contracts (mechanical, civil, electrical).
Duties will include working on Projects to include conceptual and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction and commissioning. You will accountable for control of costs associated with capital projects by supplying and reviewing data to finance departments. Engineering input will be required on capital and major maintenance projects. You will also be required to safely and effectively supervise staff, in addition to other activities as directed by the Business Excellence Manager.
You will need a minimum 10 years of Industrial / Mine site exposure, excellent communication and organisational skills, strong computer literacy skills, with the ability to liaise and deal with people internally and externally
You will need positive participation in Continuous Improvement, Business Excellence, and quality assurance activities on site.
