Senior Planning Engineer

Our client is a leading international gold mining company with a strong presence in Australia. They currently seek to appoint an experienced, proactive and self-motivated Senior Underground Planning Engineer for an established operation in Western Australia.

Principal Responsibilities Include:

* Development of short and long term production plans
* Cost monitoring and project evaluation
* Ensuring statutory requirements for ventilation, dust monitoring and equipment emissions are met
* Promotion of site safety policies and procedures
* Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
* Project work as directed by the Underground Manager

It is Essential for the Candidate to Possess the Following Skills and Experience:

* Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proven track record in various stope mining methods
* Good written and oral communication skills
* High levels of motivation and demonstrated commitment to safety
* Experience in mine planning software (Surpac preferred)

Also Desirable is:

* West Australian First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (or ability to obtain one)

This role is offered on a single 8 / 6 roster FIFO from Perth. On offer to the successful candidate is an attractive salary package as well as, health insurance, income protection and salary sacrificing options.
