This civil construction and mining company have their head office in Gladstone and have a strong grip on the infrastructure industry between Townsville and Maryborough. With it’s fleet of plant and vehicles worth over $100M they are continuing to expand up and down the coast becoming the powerhouse of mid tier civil construction in QLD.

The Forgan bridge project is $100M bridge and road upgrade on the outskirts of Mackay. It will take 2 years to complete and will involve heavy duty piling works, concrete pavements, earthworks and roadworks.

This role will suit an experienced Structures Foreman looking for a new challenge within the civil construction industry. You are encouraged to apply if you have the following:

Experience managing Concrete structures / Bridges / roadworks
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings
Awareness of QA & OH & S issues on site
Experience managing project costs / diaryPrevious
Main Roads exposure
While reporting to the Project Manager and liaising with the Main Roads Department, you will be responsible for the construction of the upgraded approaches as well as piling, bridge construction and final asphalting.

With winter around the corner it is a great time of year to be located in North Queensland. With the amount of work available skilled people from all over the country moving to North / Central Queensland in record numbers. With accommodation being provided it is one less aspect of the move that can make things complicated.
