Responsibilities: Collect and record geological information; coordinate and supervise drill data collection and interpretation; control and assure quality on bulk sample extraction to plant; monitor mine face; design grade control layouts; support mine operations personnel.
Requirements: Degree/diploma in Geology or related field; training in Geological mapping and Drill Core logging; Gemcom; ARCGIS; MINSAMP; SQL; MS Office; 5 years practical geology experience in mining industry.

At De Beers Canada, we’re driven to turn diamond dreams into lasting realities. The Victor Mine is currently looking for skilled, motivated people to join our team. The Victor Mine is located in the James Bay Lowlands of Northern Ontario, approximately 90 km west of the community of Attawapiskat. The Victor Mine is the first diamond mine in Ontario and the second in Canada for De Beers. Having begun production in early 2008, this remote fly-in/fly-out open pit mining operation is accessible only by plane, and working schedules are, in most cases, based on a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation.
