Project Engineer-Diamond Mining South Africa
Contract skilled level position in the Mining sector in South Africa (Western Cape). Benefits: Medical Aid, Pension.
A multi-disciplined Projects and Process Engineering company, specialising in providing personalised services to national and international land-based and marine diamond industries, is looking for Project Engineers. The company provides services ranging from feasibility studies through to design, pre-assembly, construction and commissioning. Focus is on small to medium scale projects which are delivered through alliances with key diamond mining companies.
The candidate’s main role will be the direction and co-ordination of all technical aspects of the project, in particular, the delivery of the specifications, designs, drawings and associated sit-work activities..
Degree or National diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
At least 5 years project engineering experience is required for senior project engineers and 3 years for project engineers
A formal qualification in project management will be advantageous
Experience in offshore and/ or a mining environment will be a distinct advantage
Good CAD experience
