Chief Engineer

Responsibilities include: This position will be responsible for long term planning and projects and will be called upon to perform many and varied duties as part of a highly motivated team. The duties include, but are not limited to, medium and long term mine plans, mine design and scheduling, cost estimation, economic evaluations, reserve model, and support of daily operations. The candidate will work closely with all Mine Departments in a safe and professional manner.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mine Engineering
• Four to six years experience, preferably in open pit gold mining
• Proficient in full range of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Vulcan Mine Design, Whittle Optimization, and AutoCAD packages are a plus
