They are currently seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to work within our Brisbane office, servicing clients in the Transportation, Water and Infrastructure markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, authorise, control and review project programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors
Establish project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite
Responsible for preparation of design calculations, specifications and technical review of civil works associated with various small and large projects
Directs the development and implementation of a training program to ensure team members receive progressive training
Directs the overall project safety programs
Responsible for concept development
Ensures strict adherence to federal and state safety codes in particular rail safety aspects
Acts as the principal contact with the Client, Management and government agencies throughout the term of the project
Marketing and preparing bid proposals
Qualifications & Experience
Civil or Structural Engineering degree
Significant experience in the civil engineering industry including design and construction management. Experience of working on major road and/or rail projects
Possess excellent technical design skills in all facets of Civil Engineering
Possess the ability to manage and co-ordinate multi discipline teams
Able to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with the Client
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good general computer literacy
Professional Engineer and CPEng registered or equivalent
