Utilize your Honeywell and AB applications skills to develop HMI for several projects on site at this top tier mining house. Projects will include the likes of developing the controls for the area pump station by using Allen-Bradley PLCs.
You'll have responsibility for factory acceptance testing and commissioning, as well as Scada configuration, programming, and implementation. There will also be maintenance of power networks, including low and high voltage switchgear and power protection systems, and general electrical troubleshooting, shutdowns, and downtime minimization. The company is one of the world's largest and most efficient refining operations. Conveniently, they're located close to a big town that is not situated in the middle of nowhere.
Also conveniently, they're in the early stages of a site expansion project that is just starting to ramp up, so there are likely to be opportunities for career development and promotion in the near future. The client is seeking a degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with at least five years post-graduate experience. You need to have had obtained this experience in a mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry environment, and be well-versed in HV, power systems, and Honeywell and Allen-Bradley control systems.
