Our client is a leading Global Engineering Consulting company involved in providing a full range of technology-driven, value adding solutions and services to clients in the mining, minerals, metallurgical, manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors worldwide

Due to phenomenal growth they are currently seeking an experienced Traffic & Transport Engineer to assist infrastructure clients, the primary objectives of the role are:
Uphold company core values and to lead by example
Assist infrastructure clients to achieve their project delivery objectives by providing value adding advice, management and engineering services, particularly in areas of traffic engineering and transport planning.

Duties & Responsibilities

Displays and actively promotes behaviour aligned to organisations goal of achieving a Total Safety Culture
Provide leadership to staff within the team through project work
Be the senior point of contact for clients including participating with clients in identifying and managing traffic and transport issues
Leads traffic and transport aspects of projects
Monitors and controls contractual commitments to assure that all work is being performed in accordance with the brief, specifications, drawings, terms of the contract and Client expectations
Paricipates in project and client meetings to review progress
Provides 'hands on' design, design review and development of technical specifications
Develops and resources an appropriate organisational structure and ensures that the traffic team has the required resources
Ensures compliance to companies safety, business, financial and quality systems
Assist in the professional development of the team in alignment with the needs of the Business
Qualifications & Experience

University degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline
Significant professional experience in the delivery of traffic and/or road transport studies or projects
A strong client focus and relationship building with stakeholders
Strong technical leadership and abilities
Computer literate with a detailed knowledge of appropriate design and modelling software
Knowledge of traffic and transport related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies
Detailed knowledge of industry design standards
