Geotechnical / Civil Engineer - Dams

Connell Wagner requires an engineer with a civil or geotechnical background, preferrably with at least 5 years experience in dam engineering or an associated field. The successful applicant will provide assistance to our dam engineering staff in providing a high quality service to our long-term clients in the power generation, coal mining and government areas.

The position involves a range of dam-related activities including:

Dam safety management and evaluation
Dam inspection and reporting
Dam monitoring and surveillance
Dam design
Dam operation and maintenance
The preferred applicant will have good report writing and communication skills. Experience with the design and operation of tailings dams would be advantageous. You will also display outstanding communication skills, proven problem solving ability and work well by yourself or as part of a team.
