My Client is an ASX listed gold mining company, with a hugely successful mine located in Charters Towers, Queensland. With plans to quadruple the size and valuation of the company in the coming years, they are leading the field in gold mining, and now is the time to join their team!

Their expansion has created an opportunity for a Senior Diamond Driller to join them in Charters Towers. Drilling within 40km radius of Charters Towers, you will be home every night! You will be responsible for the supervision and operation of the rig, an Atlas Copco Diamec U8 or U6 rig, and the mentoring of junior crews of offsiders. This is a hands-on role, with the rigs running 24/7 when the drilling program begins. This role will fulfil your passion for drilling, with the average hole depths between 200 and 400m, with occasional depths of 1500m.

In return for your expertise and dedication, you will receive a generous remuneration package and a good roster, allowing flexibility and a work/life balance. The drill site is approximately 15km from the nearest township, so you will be home for dinner!

To be considered for this role, you will have:

At least 5 years' experience as a Senior Driller
Experience in operating the Atlas Copco Diamec U8 rig
Significant guidance and mentoring experience of offsiders and colleagues
An excellent understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and their applications
