Permanent skilled level position in the Mining sector in Messina in South Africa (Gauteng).
Requirements:
„« Blasting Certificate Holder
„« Grade 12
„« Previous experience as a Miner/Section Supervisor /Assistant Shift Supervisor
„« Surface mining experience
„« A Proven track record of supervising and managing people is essential
Skills:
„« Computer literate
„« Interpersonal skills
Duties:
„« Coordinate, oversee and assume operational responsibility for a mining team
„« Coordinate shift hand over by checking logsheets, physical mining activities and communicate to relevant subordinates
„« Plan activities in accordance to operational and maintenance schedules and allocate resources as required
„« Coordinate and optimize the use of mining equipment
„« Reduce overall cost/metre and cost/ton
„« Focus on downstream customer requirements and develop upstream supplier relationships
„« Perform Accident and incident investigation¡¦s according to organizational standards
„« Ensures adherence to Security and Health programme goals and objectives
„« Perform administrative duties according to legal requirements
„« Build team capacity and manage team wellness
„« Implement and manage safety programmes within the team
