Our client is a leading provider of professional services to the energy, resources and complex processes industries. The Minerals and Metals division in the Perth office is currently undertaking a number of exciting projects within Western Australia and for this reason require the services of an experienced Principal Rail Engineer.

About this position:
Working on a major ore mine project the Principal Rail Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all objectives are met and completed on time and within budget. In this role you will provide maintenance and technical expertise to internal and external clients whilst demonstrating your ability to operate with a large degree of autonomy and your proven expertise in heavy rail haulage systems. As this is a pivotal role on the project your sound commercial acumen, project management skills and ability to build strong business relationships is crucial.

The successful candidate:
In order to be successful in this position you will have previous experience in heavy rail haulage systems in the mining industry. As you may be required to manage certain aspects of various projects, you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
