Project Services Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Utilise the costing and scheduling systems to produce reports on project status including current and projected scenarios and earned value analyses. Analyse project budget trends and provide feedback to the project team on potential actions to be taken.
- Update progress and expenditure by liaison with discipline leads and produce monthly and weekly project reports
- Work with a cross-functional team of professionals and specialists
- Control costs through the design stage to maintain the integrity of the established budget and to ensure that the Owner receives the best value for his money.
- Conduct value analysis to determine optimum costs and provide other services such as Life Cycle Cost Plans, Risk Analysis, Project Schedule Analysis, Construction and Contract Management, and Project Cash Flows
Qualifications:
- Preferred more than 5 years of experience in a similar role. An undergraduate degree in Commerce, Engineering or other related field, or the equivalent related work experience is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial, mining or other related industry is preferred.
- Must have experience with MS Project and be proficient at Excel, other management tools and software experience would be an asset.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a team and/or independently.
- Valid Passport (required for travel)
