We represent a new and exciting joint venture between one of the worlds largest diversified mining companies, and an Australian listed company with coal and Iron ore projects around the world. With an already established and successful operation looking to expand and further exploration of mining tenements within the Bowen Basin this is an exciting time to join this leading joint venture.
As a result of this growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee all aspects of the implementation and expansion of current mining operations in the Bowen Basin. The role will be based in Brisbane with traveling to and from site as required. This role will allow you to witness visible rewards for hard work and experience the benefits of being able to have real input in all areas of the operation.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for:
Establishing and maintaining a control schedule for the development of the project;Setting and achieving budget outcomes including safety, activity and financial targets;Establishing project controls, including reporting tools and document control systems;Controlling budgets and managing various on site contractors;Liaising with project stakeholders, including governmental authorities, local authorities and landowners;Complying with all Bowen Central Coal Policies, Operating Philosophies and Management Systems.
To be successful for this role you be required to hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline. Have a proven track record as a Project Manager within an open cut coal mine environment. You will possess excellent leadership and organisational skills relevant to mining operations and project implementation.
