* Fly in/out of Townsville only

Our client is a leading international gold mining company, with a portfolio of 27 operating mines, seven advanced exploration and development projects located across five continents, and a large land position on the world’s best exploration belts. Located in North Queensland, the copper/gold deposit incorporates underground and open cut mining, a mineral processing plant and supporting infrastructure.

The Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance of the electrical infrastructure and support systems. Reporting to the Electrical Team Leaders it is expected you will deliver timely completion of all electrical maintenance activities to the defined quality standards required.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Trade Qualification in Electrical Fitter/Mechanics
* Queensland Electrical Licence or the ability to obtain the same
* Post Trade Studies or Qualifications
* Good diagnostic/faultfinding abilities
* Clear communication & strong interpersonal skills
* Sound planning & organisational skills
* Sound understanding of power generation & reticulation, including HV switching
* Previous mining site & equipment exp
* Knowledge of PLC's communications & networking systems
* Ability to coach & mentor apprentices
* Strong safety focus
* High level of enthusiasm and initiative
* A current driver's licence
