This Australian-owned consultancy have a growing presence in the construction and engineering fields across the states.

The Melbourne office specialise in building structures only and are experts in this discipline. Traditionally this office would work on high-end commercial projects in Europe and the Middle East as well as locally here in Australia however the work-load is a little less commercially driven these days and the focus is on stable Victorian work.

Busy with schools, shopping centres and a major contract for a supermarket chain, the work is not complicated. However this role is crucial to the business. As part of a team of 25-30, you will be the lead civil design engineer. Presently the structural engineers do their own associated civils work but there is a definite full-time and permanent requirement for someone to produce this design work autonomously.

You must have previous experience in a similar capacity - this is not regular subdivisions or land development work. You must be able to liaise with Architects and Structural Engineering professionals and come up with engineering solutions appropriate to this type of work.

A minimum of 5-8 years' work history in Australia is required and Melbourne experience is preferred.
