As the Senior Mine Project Engineer you will be forming a key part of the corporate technical team and your duties will include but will not be limited to:
Developing LOM plans and designs for projects in feasibility stage
Evaluating different mining methods & plans
Conducting equipment selection to ensure optimum safety & efficiency
Engaging consultants & contractors as required
Supported by an international presence, an unwavering commitment to sustainable growth and strong management our client has weathered the downturn and is now looking to the future. With multiple mines already in operation this company is expanding their portfolio in Australia.
This is an exciting role that will influence the direction of the company in the future and requires a consummate professional that can display:
Strong technical & analytical skills
A sound understanding of operational issues
Proficiency in long-term mine planning & detailed design
The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering coupled with extensive experience in underground coal mining. It is ideal for the candidate to have experience in both Bord & Pillar and Longwall operations, however it is not essential.
