Your new company is a medium size, multi discipline, Building Services engineering consultancy, which have many loyal clients, therefore, most of their work is repeat business.
Your new company is looking for a Electrical Engineer - Building Services, for their offices located on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

The position being offered has a 'dual' role:
1) Building Services design
2) Coordination of Essential Services contractors for obtaining Essential Services Certification of Buildings.
Scope of Work:
1) Electrical design for Building Services

Carry out necessary calculations for providing building services.
Provide design drawings and technical specifications.
Liaise with clients, architects, consultants and authorities (local council).
Prepare and document maintenance specifications for projects that they have completed and are coming to an end of the warranty period.
Call tenders from selected contractors for providing maintenance services on the relevant equipment and carry out tender assessment.
Carry out site audits of maintenance activities being carried out and report on same.
2) Certification of Essential Building Services functions

Carry out site inspections of existing electrical systems in the form of Condition Audits and Due Diligent reports.
Carry out compliance audits against existing codes when building was built.
Liaise with Building Owners/ Managers on the above scope regarding the promoting of the client's services.
Project Manage minor works projects for (primarily) mechanical and electrical services, including design, documentation, tendering and construction.
Essential Experience:
Be familiar with 'Local Codes' and 'Australian Standards'.
Proven design skills in lighting, power, communications and fire detection.
Minimum, 5 years local, Australian experience.
Be proficient at written and verbal communications skills.
Experienced in site evaluations.

Highly desirable:
Autocad LT experience.
Own car.

Work on many prestige projects across Australia and overseas.
The company provides excellent working conditions complete with ongoing training and onsite parking.

This role is initially being offered as a contract with an option to become permanent.

Salary: $60K - $85K (depending on experience).
