A Project Engineer with some get up and go is required to step into a Project Management position with a Mid Tier Civil Contractor. Based in Southbank this DC2 accredited contractor predominately work on projects up to $20 million dollars across the Road, Water and Commercial New Build sectors. Since their inception in the 1980s this company has been involved in some of Melbournes CBDs most prestigious projects and has become a dominant player in the Civil Construction sector based on a lasting reputation of High quality standards and engineering innovation.

Due to continuous growth and the recent award of 3 new projects throughout the CBD and the Docklands precinct a position has become available for a Project Manager to join the team.

This position will offer the successful candidate an autonomous role and direct management of the full project lifecycle. You will be responsible for all correspondence with the client and relevant stakeholders, construction scheduling, procurement of materials, enforcing all relevant OH&S and Environmental initiatives, managing sub contractors and contracts and will lead the project team through to the handover of the completed project.

This role will suit a highly motivated Project Engineer that is looking to take their career to the next level.

Prerequisites:

A tertiary qualification in Engineering5 Years + experience working on projects of a similar nature in Australia (Vicroads experience will be seen as advantageous)Experience dealing with Subcontractors and managing contractsExceptional communication and problem solving skillsThis is a rare opportunity for a Project Engineer to step into a Project Management position with a leading Mid Tier contractor.
