With the recent merger between a global petroleum organization and a leading Australian producer of Coal Seam Gas, has certainly guaranteed the production of methane gas and ongoing expansion works within Queensland and off shore. With the confirmed capital value of over $8B, these combined companies have now moved to the next stage of its strategic growth and looking for a Lead Estimator.

To ensure that this company continues to be the leader in their chosen fields they are now embarking on the next wave of strategic growth and are now looking for an experienced Lead Estimator to join them.

This position will see you responsible for providing the appropriate estimating strategies, tools, skills, and spirit to ensure successful project execution. This will include the coordination of the project and proposal estimating efforts for upstream work. Preparing and analyzing detailed estimating plans, overall cost estimate and summaries and detailed estimate reports will be required. You will work alongside the project controls team and engineers to ensure a consistent and accurate scope definition, strategy, management requirements and anticipated productivity levels so solid communication skills are essential.

The Senior Estimator would have a proven background in:

Oil and Gas experience with at least 10 years in a similar role is essentialDeveloped understanding of estimates through your trade or engineering backgroundExcellent written communication skills and the ability to communicate well with both senior management and within the teamAbility to consult, review, prepare and negotiate contract and tender documentation A can do attitude and strong organisational skills
