We have a newly created opportunity for a Mine Planning Engineer in the Technical Services Department of this highly respected organisation. The company has been exceeding production targets for the first half of the year and plans are in place for some aggressive expansion towards the end of the year.
The Mine Planning Engineer will work on an FIFO roster from Perth and reports to the Technical Services Manager. You will work as part of a cohesive team addressing the short, medium & long-term planning needs of this complex underground deposit. Specific areas of responsibility will cover:
Development of medium - long term plans
Completion of LOM schedules
Build & review cost models associated with mine expansions & special projects
Assist with studies on mine expansions and new surface operations
This position will require Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering and recent experience in a dedicated Mine Planning position. You will have a strong working knowledge of various software packages (Vulcan ideally) and be able to assist the production engineering team as/when required. Exceptional communication skills will be essential and a willingness to take on new projects, both underground & surface, will be essential.
